The train opened up this country but more importantly served to connect it, coast to coast.
A lot of my memories both as a child and an adult include many trips by train.. from Montreal to the Gaspe . It was a great way to start my holidays catching up with old friends making new ones.
I remember the beauty of the scenery looking out the window of my rail car as I travelled. I spoke of it so much when I lived elsewhere I convinced several friends and coworkers , who had never travelled by train or East for that matter,to experience the trip to the Gaspe.
