Dans une résolution #022-05-140 datée du 3 mai 2022, la municipalité de Caplan donne son appui à la Coalition.

QUE le Conseil municipal de Municipalité de Caplan appuie la coalition des Gaspésien pour l’avenir du train afin de rouvrir le tronçon ferroviaire entre Caplan et New Carlisle dans un premier temps, afin d’offrir à nouveau les services de transport par marchandises via la gare de triage de New Carlisle d’une part, et d’autoriser la société VIA Rail à circuler en Gaspésie, de mettre en marche les études visant de rouvrir les services ferroviaires entre New Carlisle et Gaspé, et ce, dans les plus brefs délais possibles;

In a resolution #022-05-140 dated May 3, 2022, the Municipality of Caplan gives its support to the Coalition.
Text of the resolution:
THAT the Municipal Council of the Municipality of Caplan supports the Coalition des Gaspésien pour l’avenir du train in order to reopen the railroad section between Caplan and New Carlisle in a first step, in order to offer again the services of transportation by goods via the New Carlisle marshalling yard on the one hand, and to authorize the company VIA Rail to circulate in the Gaspé region, to start the studies aiming to reopen the railroad services between New Carlisle and Gaspé, and this, as soon as possible;
